WILL SENATORS VOTE AS POLITICAL ANIMALS?

Senators may try with  all their might to be impartial before the eyes of the people- but subconsciously they will act with political undertones.Whether they like it or not.

What are some of the analysis in this respect?

Remember it takes 8 senators voting negatively in all 8 counts to exonerate  CJ Corona from permanent impeachment by the Senate. How will the senators vote?

Without demeaning their fierce sense of independence, the reelectionist senators  Cayetano (Alan), Escudero, Legarda, Trillanes, Sotto and Pimentel will be facing assumed pressure by the largely anti-Corona crowd.

On the other hand, Bongbong Marcos, Joker Arroyo and Miriam Santiago are often perceived to be veering towards the Arroyo-Corona cause. The trio  just needs  five more allies to free Corona.

We seriously doubt if they can get any votes from this block of perceived pro-reform senators: Drilon, Pangilinan, Recto and Guingona (LP),ideological supporters like Jinggoy Estrada, Osmena and Lacson. Villar and Pia Cayetano would probably believe in the preponderance of evidence versus Corona and would not vote as NPs.

The Opposition can probably gain the nod from any or all of the following five senators: (Lakas) Revilla and Lapid  and “independents” like Enrile, Honasan and Angara.

Will there be a  Corona conviction or exoneration.Your guess as good as ours.
